Bio - Alia Latimer

My name is Alia Latimer, I was born in and have always lived in San Jose California.  I garden and grow plants frequently, although it was not until two years ago that I stated growing edible plants. I have grown Serrano Chili Peppers, Tomatoes, Carrots, Sunflowers, along with other various things.
Most of my family keeps plants, my grandpa used to own a persimmon orchard that he lived on, but that never required much work. My father used to garden a bit, but at this point he really isn't involved with growing plants unless it's something he is planting on mine craft and my brother is the same way. My mom on the other hand actually has her own little garden in our backyard where she grows a assortment of Roses and other flowers. She has also grown foods in the past such as lemons, oranges, and tomatoes, but she quite doing that early on as she had more trouble with the squirrels than I do. All in all my mom's side, as do I, tends to do more gardening than most on my dad's side, despite the fact that they lived farther out from the city.
